The Soup Kitchen
In July of 2007, Manna For Life began serving a hot lunch program to a couple of dozen people daily. Now, with the coordinated donations of local supermarkets such as Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, Supervalu, Festival Foods and foods purchased at Feeding America Food Bank as well as government commodities from the TEFAP program, MFLM serves over 150 people each day. As the soup kitchen is the most frequent touch point between guests and staff, it is a hub for information and resources to assist guests in meeting other needs.
